I'm a writer and editor. I have an MFA in fiction writing and a BA in editing and publishing. Much of my experience has come from working with literary journals—I have a soft spot in my heart for independent journals and presses—though I've also worked with businesses, governmental offices, educational departments, and community organizations. My creative work has appeared in PANK and The Collagist.
I am also a teacher. I teach primarily in the Professional and Public Writing programs at Michigan State University. I have taught courses in grammar and style, editing and publishing, technical writing, magazine production, communication ethics, portfolio design, qualitative research, travel writing, freelance writing (online), visual rhetoric, and dystopian literature.
